KIJIJI CHA UPENDO CHILDREN’S PROJECT
COMPUTER LITERACY CLASS
A number of KCU youth beneficiaries attended the first computer literacy class organized by Kijiji.
The Children were delighted in the program and expressed gratitude.
Computer knowledge is very essential and the skills to be imparted to them will enable them use computers for example,… downloading assignments easily from the school portal without assistance.
Stacy Khakhali, a beneficiary of KCU School program who recently graduated from Tangaza University College assisted by Moses took the OVCs though the basic computer skills…. such as opening a document, creating a file etc……… Tracy, having trained as a computer teacher was able to run the program conveniently answering every question from the curious class.
Surprisingly, some of the children who attended class such as Rasheda Salid and Samuel Oyaya had some basic computer operating skills and proudly demonstrated to their fellow students. This made the learning more interesting as others were also motivated.
The class was an introduction to computers as Kijiji intends to run classes through all school holidays. This will provide a chance to students who go to boarding schools.
